6 April - The First Jewish Ghetto Tour

April 7th, 2009 · Posted in Ghetto Walk, Our Groups ·

Today we have introduced a new tour on the list of our guided walks - the WWII Jewish Ghetto Tour. For the premier we had a pleasure to host two friends from Vancouver, Canada.

The walk took about three hours. In the first part, we had a stroll around Podgórze district on the right bank of the Vistula River - the area of 1941-1943 Jewish Ghetto.

After a short coffee break we drove a few kilometers away to wander at the site of Plaszów Concentration and Labour Camp (the picture was taken by the camp memorial) visitors remember from Steven Spielberg’s Schindler’s List.

Hello Filip!

I didn’t have a chance to check your blog til now.  Just wanted to thank you again for the informative tour on the Jewish Ghetto.  You were a most pleasant host and I hope one day we can be back again in Krakow.  (Of our 2 week trip, I personally liked being in Krakow above Rome and Florence.)

Best regards,
Joyce
