April 29th, 2009 · Posted in Nowa Huta Red Star Tour, Our Groups ·Krakow is famous for its long history, charming Old Town with its narrow streets and beautiful buildings and churches. The Old Jewish quarter of Kazimierz attracts enthusiasts of Jewish history and those who love an alternative Krakow.
But in Krakow you can find a lot of new things, especially if someone is passionate about the contempory urban planning and architecture. Nowa Huta is the place to be: designed as an ideal steelworking communist town, now became Mecca for people interested in modern civil and sacred architecture.
On Monday, for the tour of Nowa Huta we hosted Susan and David from Cardiff and Anglesey in Wales. They were a very interesting company to talk to about recent Polish and British history and political issues.
