23 April - March of the Living and Morning Walk of the Jewish Quarter
April 24th, 2009 · Posted in Jewish Quarter Walk, Our Groups ·For a couple of days this week Krakow was the centre of the the March of the Living - an annual educational programme which brings students from all over the world to Poland, where they explore the remnants of the Holocaust. On Holocaust Memorial Day, thousands of participants march silently from Auschwitz to Birkenau.
We also had a few visitors interested in Jewish history for our morning walking tour of the Old Jewish Quarter and Footsteps of the Schindler’s List: a family from Staffordshire, England, three ladies from Ayr, Scotland and and American student from Iowa and Illinois studying French in Paris.

In the picture, the whole group is by the gate of the Schindler’s Factory.

I would just like to say thankyou to filip for a very informative tour. I and my two companions enjoyed it very much and could not have asked for a better guide. Thankyou from us in Scotland.
