The first weekend of July is the traditional beginning of Krakow Summer Jazz Festival at Piwnica Pod Baranami. Untill the end of the month Krakow will be the centre of Polish jazz scene with numbers of concerts every night. The festival kicked off with New Orleans Sunday on the Main Market Square.

Last Saturday, the annual Jewish Culture Festival started in Krakow. The 19th time the Old Jewish Quarter of Kazimierz hosts the event. Early morning outside of St. Mary’s church tables have been set up. At 13.00 Cardinal of Krakow  - Mr Dziwisz - former assistant of Pope John Paul II will bless the food for Sunday Breakfast. Krakowians will bring beautifully decorated baskets filled with goodies.

Kazimierz - the former Jewish quarter of Krakow is a maze of picturesque small streets. Many of  them shelter some nice shops and cafe’s.
