On the last day of July we welcomed six cyclists from three countries: a Canadain couple from Ottawa living in Düsseldorf, two friends from Poitiers in France and a German couple from Cologne. Good weather and a nice tour.

Today we toured Krakow with two cyclist from Galway in Ireland - Caitriona and Senan, who are starting their three-week trip of Central and Southern Europe in our beautiful city.

Today we have organised two regular walks. The Jewish Quarter and the Schindler’s List walk at 10 in the morning attracted 7 Krakow’s guests: an English couple from Warrington in Cheshire, a traveller from Liverpool, a mother and a daughter from Arnhem in Holland, and a teacher-firefighter couple from Berkeley, California.

Today Tour de France 2009 came to an end on Champs Elysees in Paris. Celebrating the final of La Grande Boucle we organised three bike tours in one day.
Twice we were cycling the city with group of Eastern Trekkers.

To make all thirsty Krakow town people and visitors happy the city authorities install a free cistern with drinking water on the Main Market Square right next to the old townhall tower. A really helpful thing in these hot days.

Today we had one of the hottest days this summer so far: absolutely melting air of +35 degrees centigrade in the shade. Despite the extreme conditions we still walk with pleasure around the city - luckily Krakow has narrow shady streets and cool courtyards.

After eight Irish girls yesterday we welcomed another five for today’s Bike Tour. Apparently, they know six out of eight of yesterday’s cyclers Except for five nice Irish girls from Dublin, we welcomed two Dutch bikers from Rotterdam on the tandem and an American radio journalist from New York.

It was a strictly British Bike Tour with a huge majority of ladies and guests from the Shamrock Island: six travellers from Dublin, two friends from Northern Ireland, two ladies from Kilmarnock and a guy from Fraserburgh in Scotland (he already joined our Jewish Quarter walk last year) and a couple from England.

The hot and sunny July this Sunday had a short rainy and chilly break. Our regular summer group of Eastern Trekkers had a walking tour of the Jewish Quarter with us. We had a nice company of Canadians (thanx for the great ice-hockey talk , Swedes and traditional Aussies.
